Mod style black patent loafer with patent-covered buckle, square toe and 2" deep block heel.
Ideal for culottes, Sixties mod style loafers are perfect to wear with either skirts or trousers. So if you are looking for an alternative to boots but despair of ever finding a low-heeled shoe that's up to the job....look no further - this is it. In lustrous patents of black and navy, it also comes in plush velvets of golden brown, racing green, midnight navy blue or cranberry red.
Good with opaque tights in a variety of colours, the pilgrim buckle adds design interest to simple or shift dresses that beg for a big necklace and great shoes - but also looks astonishingly stylish with fuller below-the-knee skirts. Sassy with straight leg black trousers, they have enough gravitas to take on wide velvet palazzo pants, and are epic with short skirts. And oddly chic enough to wear with a cocktail dress.
Fit and sizing
Standard UK sizing - although I think this last is 'short' in toe length, so you may need to go up half a size from your usual if you have long toes. If you bought the Diana slingback last season, definitely go up half a size for the Mary loafer. Use the half insole (enclosed free with each pair) to keep the foot comfortably back into the heel of the shoe.
