Navy patent loafer with pilgrim buckle, square toe and 2" deep block heel.
Sixties mod styles were perfect to wear with either skirts or trousers and although school uniform put me off navy blue for life, this patent's indigo inkiness just makes me want to stick my head in it. So if you are bored by the "boots with dresses" look, but despair of ever finding a low-heeled shoe that's up to the job....look no further - this is it. The Sixties pilgrim buckle styling is particularly good for adding design interest to loose fitting dresses that beg for a statement necklace and great shoes; substantial enough to take on wide velvet palazzo or cropped pants with panache (see the black version for styling pics), and epic with short skirts and interesting tights. In short, my favourite shoe of the moment.
